17′ Sharp Wherry designed by Pete Culler

This beautiful 17 ft. Sharp Wherry, designed by Pete Culler was built by Geoff Burke of Chocorua BoatWorks in New Hampshire in 2012. She is beautifully constructed of White cedar on White oak and has been used very lightly . The boat comes with two sets of oars and a trailer.

16′ 6″ Cedar & Canvas Canoe

Whisp

This Steve Redmond designed , 15’7” WHISP was beautifully built, barely used and donated to the museum by a local craftsman. It sits on a trailer and is in excellent shape. The boat weighs approx. 70 lbs and has a capacity of 400 lbs. You can put a small electric transom mounted engine on it if desired.

Coquina

This carefully built bare hull was designed by NG Herreshoff in 1889 and adapted for plywood epoxy construction by Doug Hylan and Maynard Bray. The hull comes with a set of plans to complete the project. Learn more about this hull and boat here.

16′ 1908 Old Town Canoe

18′ 1924 Old Town “Guide Special” Canoe

This beautiful Guide Canoe has been painstakingly restored and will be ready for delivery in early summer 2023. As noted in the builder’s file (see photo), it was sold to Camp Chickewah in Harrison, ME in 1924.
