Flora and Fauna Canoe Tour
July 17 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
Come explore the ecology of Lake Champlain on a guided canoe paddle with the Museum! We will get a close look at the lake’s different plants and animals from a unique vantage point, and we’ll talk about their ecosystem and the importance of their preservation. No prior canoe experience is required, we will cover the basics during the tour!
For canoe tours, the Museum provides canoes, paddles, and personal flotation devises (PFDs). We recommend each participant brings or wear:
- Clothing that is okay to get wet
- A bottle of water
- Binoculars (we will have a couple pairs to pass around, but not enough for everyone!)
- A hat and sunscreen
This program is offered on select Wednesdays and Fridays and is weather-dependent. We will communicate any cancellations the morning of the scheduled outing.
