How did our ancestors build boats without power tools? What do archaeologists do to preserve artifacts discovered in the lake? How do you discover shipwrecks? What is it like to play a historic instrument? And just HOW do you navigate on water in a Whitehall-style rowing gig?!
Join Lake Champlain Maritime Museum for one special day where you can try almost EVERYTHING the Museum has to offer! Watch hands-on demonstrations, get a behind-the-scenes peek, and then try your hand at your favorites. From artifacts and shipwrecks to boats and instruments, you can try it all.
Stations around the Museum campus will be open for visitors to watch and try. Food and snacks will be available for purchase thanks to Viva El Sabor’s Chef Eli who will be serving Mexican cuisine, tacos, quesadillas, and tamales.
