Collections Corner: Behind the Scenes

Where do the Museum’s Archaeology and Collections teams do their work? What happens to artifacts once they are conserved? Find out in this free behind-the-scenes tour of our Nautical Archaeology Center! Take a glimpse into the workspace of an archaeologist and see the brand-new collections storage area while learning about items in the Museum’s collection.
Free tours will run every 30 minutes at the following times:
- 11:00 AM
- 11:30 AM
- 12:00 PM
- 12:30 PM
This program will take place in the Nautical Archaeology Center. The space is climate-controlled and can be accessed via paved path and ramp, with a few feet of traverse across grass. For accessibility questions, please email info@lcmm.org or call 802-475-2022.
