Closing Reception

Summer has flown by! As we close our doors, we reflect on the fun we had on the water, everything we learned in the exhibits, and all the connections we made to each other and to Lake Champlain. If you haven’t had a chance to visit the Museum this summer, this is your chance to stop by before we close for the winter!
Join us in the Hoehl Family Visitor Center for a closing reception to usher in the final weekend of the season with light refreshments and wonderful conversation. Pick up any last-minute gifts from the Museum store and don’t forget the book list for the “Becoming America” book club!
We’ll have some opportunities to get out on the water with a final sail as well as a demonstration of our new natural linen spritsail, crafted through a partnership this July with the Weaver’s Croft, the Sailcloth Study Group, and Gambell & Hunter Sail Loft during a conference titled “By Hand: Reclaiming the Art of Historical Sail Making”.
