Navy Week

As part of the 250th commemoration, Lake Champlain Maritime Museum will partner with the United States Navy during their inaugural “Navy Week” in Vermont. As part of the celebration, the US Navy, Naval History and Heritage Command, and the United States Undersea Museum will bring a week of free educational programming to our community at the Museum.
Featured highlights include:
- Monday, August 24 and Wednesday, August 26 from 10 am–4 pm: Historical displays with Naval History and Heritage Command archaeologists and the Navy’s oldest commissioned warship, USS Constitution
- Monday, August 24; Wednesday, August 26; and Thursday, August 27 from 10 am–4 pm: Displays and conversation with Naval History and Heritage Command archaeologists in our new exhibit Fragments: Voices of the American Revolution on Lake Champlain
- Wednesday, August 26 at 6 pm: Beth Sanders, Collections Manager, U.S. Naval Undersea Museum, and Blair Atcheson, Program Analyst, Underwater Archaeology Branch will give a free Deep Dive talk about the Howell torpedo. Registration is free!
- Thursday, August 27 at 10:30 am: Take our weekly shipwreck tour with special guests, Navy History and Heritage Command nautical archaeologists! Reserve tickets in advance here.
- Friday, August 28 at 11:00 am: Join us for our free weekly Storytime in the Roost and meet our special guest, Commander Bond, a lovable PTSD (pictured below!).
