Youth open-water rowing teams from local high schools and middle schools gather at Burlington Harbor to compete in this annual fall rowing race. Youth rowers must register for this event through their school team or as part of their fall season rowing registration. Please check with your coach if you are not sure how to register. The public is always welcome to attend races for free and cheer on the participating teams!
The James Wakefield Rescue Row is named after a brave first responder from 1876 who rescued passengers and crew of a shipwreck on the Burlington breakwater.
