SUMMARY:Fall Youth Blacksmithing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day of metalworking just for teens ages 13–17! With workshop slots available on October 24 and November 15\, students can join us in the forge and learn about the history of metalworking and get hands-on experience with the primary techniques for forming\, forging\, and crafting metal objects as they make samples and finished pieces. Each participant will get to forge their own piece in our blacksmith forge and complete an additional project outside of the forge if time permits. \n\n\n\nNo prior metal working or blacksmithing experience is necessary\, just an excitement to create something new! We’re excited to share the wonder of metal arts with the next generation. \n\n\n\nOn the day of the workshop\, participants should wear closed-toe shoes\, long pants and a long-sleeve shirt made of natural fibers. Those without these things will not be permitted to work in the blacksmith forge. Participants should also bring their own lunch and water bottle. Protective gear and equipment will be provided by the Museum. For accessibility questions\, please contact us at info@lcmm.org or 802-475-2022. \n\n\n\n\nRegister Here!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Related
