Don’t miss this incredible experience- for all ages! \n\n\n\nWe will gather on the Museum green at 10:00 and proceed to Basin Harbor as a group at 10:10 to begin the tour\, which will run from 10:30 to noon. The walk to Basin Harbor is approximately a half-mile on pavement\, and visitors are welcome to drive if needed. Representing a period dating from the early half of the 19th century into the middle of the 20th century\, these shipwrecks are records of the changing social\, economic\, and technological trends of the Burlington waterfront. Paul will explain how he investigated the creation and history of this ship graveyard through the lens of behavioral archaeology and site formation processes. \n\n\n\nThe lecture will be held in the auditorium of the Hoehl Family Education and Visitor Center. The lecture will last approximately 30-45 minutes with a Q&A session afterwards. \n\n\n\nThis lecture is free to attend\, no registration required.
