DESCRIPTION:Join the staff of Lake Champlain Maritime Museum at Phoenix Books for the release of the Museum’s newly published anthology\, The Champlain Canal: Two-Hundred Years of Change. This new book features chapters by historians\, archaeologists\, and biologists on the past and present evolutions of the Champlain Canal which celebrated its bicentennial in 2023. \n\n\n\nChapter author and project manager\, Matt Harrison\, will discuss his research about early tourism on the canal and Lake Champlain\, in particular the accounts of two women travelers who recorded their vacations along the canal in the 1890s — Florence Snedeker and Augusta Brown. \n\n\n\nADMISSION: $3. Your ticket comes with a coupon for $3 off the book. Coupons expire at closing the evening of the event. Tickets can be purchased at the door or through the Phoenix Books webpage.
