Modern Powerboat (Wreck NNN)

Wreck NNN was located during the 2001 side scan sonar survey and verified in October 2002. The target is a small aluminum fishing boat, likely dating to the 1980s. The boat appears to have been lost unintentionally based on the presence of a fishing rod, outboard engine, and trolling motor. The outboard engine, an Evinrude Sportwin, appears to date to the late 1960s or early 1970s. The trolling motor, a Minn Kota 15, was produced between 1979 and 1986. An inspection of the vessel did not reveal any registration numbers or other identifying features.

Please contact the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum if you know the circumstances behind the loss of this vessel.
