At Lake Champlain Through the Lens, the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum’s annual juried photography exhibit, you can savor spectacular sunsets, glimpses of dawn and dusk, and other captivating views of the scenery, people, boats, and wildlife of the lake. The exhibition is included with museum admission.

Photographer: Shot on the night of Friday, August 12 from the Burlington Breakwater – I received permission from the US Coast Guard to stand out there – I used GigaPan Epic Pro to enable the shooting of 40 individual exposures which were combined to create this 202 megapixl image.
Judges: Great shot, with good detail, well printed, masterful execution. Outstanding fusion of the photographer’s vision with technological skill to bring a new level of depth and detail to the creative process.

Our Annual Juried Photo Exhibit, Lake Champlain Through The Lens, will be on view at LCMM from September 4 through October 15. Professional and amateur photographers are invited to submit work in color or black and white that reflects life on and around Lake Champlain. Categories include Scenic, Boats, People and Pets, Still Life, Nature and Wildlife, and a special category – High Waters. Work must be matted and/or framed, ready to hang. Professional photographers judge and comment on your work. Ready-to-hang entries can be delivered to the museum between 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. from August 13 - 21. Registration form (pdf) and fee of $5 per photo must accompany all entries. Entry for jurying does not guarantee inclusion in the exhibit.
