GET MAPQUEST DIRECTIONS

The Lake Champlain Maritime Museum's Basin Harbor facility is located on Basin Harbor Road, just 7 scenic miles west of Vergennes (off Route 22A), 12 miles north of the Champlain Bridge site (now a free ferry crossing). Follow the signs to the museum. Your journey will take you through the pastoral landscape of the Champlain Valley, and offers incredible views of Lake Champlain, Otter Creek, the Adirondacks and working farmland.

The following directions represent customary and usual routes by car to Basin Harbor from the areas listed. If you would like suggestions on more meandering, less traveled roadways, please call us at (802) 475-2022.

From Boston
Take Interstate 93 to Interstate 89 (at Bow, NH) and follow I-89 to exit at Woodstock, Vermont. Follow Route 4 to 22A. North 40 miles to Vergennes. Turn left on Panton Road, go one mile, then right on Basin Harbor Road. You will find us 6 miles down the road on your right.

From Montreal
Take Route 10 to the Champlain Bridge. Take Route 133 to the border into Vermont. Go south on Interstate 89. Take Exit 13 to I-89. Get off on Route 7 south. Follow Route 7 to 22A at Vergennes. Drive through town, over the bridge. Turn right on Panton Road for one mile, then right on Basin Harbor Road. You will find us 6 miles down the road on your right.

From New York
Take the New York Thruway to Exit 24 at Albany. Take Interstate 87 (Adirondack Northway) to Exit 28. Get off and turn right on Route 74. Follow 74 to the junction with 9N. Turn left on 9N and proceed to the free ferry crossing at Crown Point. Once in Vermont, follow Route 17 to 22A. Go left on 22A to Vergennes. Just past the cemetery on your left, turn left on to Panton Road, go one mile, then turn right on Basin Harbor Road. You will find us 6 miles down the road on your right.

Directions to Perkins Pier

When Lois McClure is docked at Perkins Pier in Burlington (view her schedule) :
To get to Perkins Pier in Burlington, VT, located at the foot of Maple Street, take exit 14W off Route 89. Take Rt. 2 (Main Street) past the University of Vermont, down the hill through downtown Burlington. Turn left at the light at the bottom of the hill onto Battery Street. Go two blocks and turn right on Maple Street. Public parking is available. GET MAPQUEST DIRECTIONS to Perkins Pier
