Gift Support & Donations

There are many ways to help LCMM with a gift of property (which might be sold by the Museum in mutual agreement with you) or through donations of objects appropriate for addition to museum collections or for use in museum programs. The museum also benefits from gifts of services.
If you are considering gifts of these types, it is best to contact the museum before you make your donation, to ensure that it is appropriate and handled according to your wishes.
Lake Champlain Maritime Museum at Basin Harbor, Inc. has been granted 501(c)(3) status by the Internal Revenue Service. All gifts to LCMM are tax deductible according to law and will be acknowledged promptly. Tax laws may require donors who wish to take a tax deduction to obtain an appraisal before making their gifts.
